Own an older COPMA or PESCI? That is not a problem to solve. It is the point.
A crane is a long-term investment, and we treat it as one. Whatever the year on the plate, we do our best to keep you supported with documentation, genuine parts and service, so your equipment keeps earning for years to come.
Legacy models are still working today, and still deliver power.
Some were built in the 1980s, some before. They still lift with the power they left the factory with, not because of a warranty, but because their owners love them and take care of them. That is what built for legacy means: a machine worth maintaining, and a manufacturer that helps you do it.
COPMA 820, 1600 and 2000 are workhorses that have demonstrated their capabilities in the field for years. Modern cranes have lighter, smoother controls, but the hydraulic power of these machines remains unmatched when you take care of them properly.
A crane that is looked after is a crane that lasts. A few habits keep an older COPMA or PESCI in certified, working condition for years.
Right oil, kept clean
Use the specified anti-wear hydraulic oil and keep it clean. Contaminated or wrong-grade oil is the fastest way to wear a hydraulic system.
Grease every pivot
Lubricate boom pivots, bearings and the slewing ring on schedule. Dry pivots wear; greased pivots last.
Inspect for leaks and drift
Check cylinders, hoses and seals. A boom that slowly settles under load points to an internal cylinder leak worth fixing early.
Protect the chrome
Keep cylinder rods clean and protected from corrosion, especially in marine and winter service.
Respect the safety devices
Load-holding and overload valves are there for a reason. Do not bypass them, and have them checked.
Genuine parts, trained service
Use genuine parts and service centres who know these cranes. It is what keeps an older machine certified and safe.
What is COPMA?
COPMA is CPS Group's line of heavy-duty knuckle-boom loader cranes, engineered and built in Italy, from the compact ESSENTIAL range up to the 750 tonne-metre COPMA 7500 flagship.
What makes COPMA cranes different?
A knuckle-boom architecture built for precise, heavy, awkward-access lifting, with hydraulic power and stability control sized for continuous duty rather than a peak figure on a datasheet.
What is PESCI?
PESCI is a CPS Group loader-crane marque with roots going back to 1860, including PESCI Marine cranes finished for permanent exposure to salt water on vessels and offshore platforms.
Does CPS Group offer crane autonomy?
Yes. Through Genoma Labs and the FUSE program, CPS Group develops drive-by-wire and autonomy for heavy lifting equipment, applicable to teleoperation, local, secured and autonomous operation.
How do I get pricing, parts, or a quote?
Contact our team or your nearest dealer. We do not publish prices online. Ask the CPS Assistant or use Request Information, and we will route you to the right documentation, parts and quote.
How many years does a COPMA, PESCI or CPS machine last?
More than 20 or 30 years when it is maintained with passion. Owners keep these cranes lifting for decades because they look after them, and we support that with documentation, parts and service.
